Gurman: Apple Event on March 8, At Least Four M2 Macs to Launch Later This Year
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman confirmed in his email today that Apple will have a virtual event on Tuesday, March 8 to unveil the new iPhone SE and iPad Air models, both of which are likely to include an A15 CPU and 5G capability.

Apple also expects to release at least one new Mac this spring, in line with Gurman Statement, it's unclear whether that Mac will be unveiled during Apple's presentation. Because an Apple silicon replacement for the 27-inch iMac is not anticipated until August or September, this new Mac might be a high-end Mac mini powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs.

According to Gurman, Apple has at least four new Macs powered by M2 CPUs in the works, including redesigned MacBook Airs, entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pros, 24-inch iMacs, and entry-level Mac minis. These Macs are anticipated to arrive later this year, once Apple finishes distributing its last Macs with M1 Pro and M1 Max processors.

Gurman thinks the Touch Bar will be removed from Apple's upcoming entry-level MacBook Pro, and that the laptop will be devoid of a ProMotion display.
