MTN and Airtel NG Ready For 5G Deployment

Recent reports in Nigeria shows that two of Africa’s most circulated telecom operators and giants MTN and Airtel Nigeria might be the first mobile operators in Nigeria to deploy the fifth generation 5G service in the country.

Over the years Nigerians have been lacking behind when its results to broadband infrastructural development. Since other European and American countries have long ago rolled out its fifth-generation network technology, even the likes of SA and Lesotho in the African continent. Even most popular smartphone companies began Inculcating the fifth-generation network technology into their smartphone manufacture long before the wide spread of the new age technology.

The 5G network operation was previously halted by the federal government authority in Nigeria due to some circulated misconception of the technonology and its offerings. However, earlier last week the National Communication Commission NCC issued the authority for the launch of the age mobile technology 5G in Nigeria by the start of next year.

MTN and Airtel will be the first telecom operators in Nigeria to deploy the fifth-generation network technology as reports shows their server are already in stationary and placed ready to be turned on.

Hopefully, Globacom and 9Mobile would follow suit right after to deploy their own sever for the fifth-generation network.
