Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram Back online

After almost six hours of experiencing an unexpected outage on the world’s most popular social networking site Facebook, it has been revealed that the unexpected outage was as result of a data breach to the company from unidentified persons whose aim were to obtain users end-end encrypted data stored with facebook.

This unexpected attack on the company’s sever time has led to the unveiling of billions of users private data to the hacker which the unknown hacker yet to be identified came out proposing to sell them for $5,000 on the dark web.

This incident took place at around 5pm today after the company’s server was abruptly disrupted. -The DNS A record; an address file which holds the IP address of the domain name and AAA records for Facebook, Instagram as well as Whatsapp.

Earlier on, the company had went on twitter to alert its users of the company’s awreness of the issue saying, “We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible.”


All issues seems to have been fixed now and all apps are back online. Smarttechvilla first noticed the uptime when a WhatsApp Message poped in at around 10:50pm and decided to check it out and boom! messages were all coming in and Whatsapp status view was also been downloaded same thing as well happend with the Facebook app.


Along the line, report shows that over the cause of the outage Facebook has resulted to loosing approximately $50 billion in stock as many users began selling their stock away from the company to avoid risk this took the company to 6 place from it’s initial holding in the billionaire chart.
